As a result of the «Partnership for equitable access to HIV care continuum in EECA» Regional Program implemented by ECUO, it is planned to ensure the increase in efficiency, accessibility and sustainability of the HIV-infection treatment programs through promoting the HIV care continuum provision to people living with HIV (PLWH) with special focus on KAPs in the EECA region.
The project goal and tasks are considered to be achieved through conducting on regional and national levels the activities directed at the removal of barriers preventing from the access to HIV care continuum and promotion of providing the transition to sustainable state funding of HIV care continuum.
Unifying the efforts of different communities — people who inject drugs, sex workers, men who have sex with men, people living with HIV and TB — into a united movement in order to ensure the access to HIV care continuum makes this program a unique and outstanding one.
Building the capacity of the communities within the framework of the program will be implemented applying ‘learning by doing’ approach.
In general, the project activities will cover 15 countries from the EECA region. 7 countries — Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, Uzbekistan and Estonia — will have the opportunity to participate in the open call for proposals on development and implementation of country plans on the removal of barriers preventing from the sustainable and high-quality access to HIV care continuum.
«Partnership for equitable access to HIV care continuum in EECA» Regional Program implemented by ECUO assumes close collaboration and interaction among the communities, profile ministries, governmental departments and institutions, international and national organizations as well as with the technical partners in order to ensure that every person in the EECA region will have the access to HIV care continuum.
