Great news for EECA from Copenhagen

Partner Dialogue on Participation of Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in the TB-REP Project and Exchange of Operational Information was held in the capital of Denmark and attended by East Europe and Central Asia Union of People Living with HIV (ECUO) representatives.
Meeting Summary
– ECUO and Stop TB Partnership agreed cooperation within regional HIV / AIDS and TB projects.
– Presentation of “PARTNERSHIP FOR EQUITABLE ACCESS TO HIV CARE CONTINUUM IN EECA” Regional Project (2016-2018), implemented by ECUO in partnership with EHRN caused interest and active discussions among dialog participants.
– Vladimir Zhovtyak, ECUO President, suggested coordinating the meeting where existing HIV / AIDS and TB programs achievements and interactions in EECA will be discussed. Event participants reacted positively to such initiative.
Portfolio managers, key regional and country recipients will be invited to the negotiation table to synchronize existing HIV / AIDS and TB programs into a single strategic plan to overcome these most dangerous diseases of region.
“I am convinced that only joint coordinated actions of stakeholders will provide successful overcoming the most dangerous epidemics of HIV / AIDS and TB in EECA” – said Vladimir Zhovtyak, President of East Europe and Central Asia Union of People Living with HIV.
