Project overview of the Regional Strategy On Ensuring Sustainable And Universal Access To Quality ARV Treatment Of HIV-Infection In Eastern Europe And Central Asia
The ECUO Regional Advocacy Strategy (RAS) aims at securing 100% commitment to and allocation of funding of ART for all PLHIV in need, through state budgets, by 2020 in all EECA countries. ECUO has been implementing this strategy since 2012, specifically targeting:
- ensuring state funding for the continuum of HIV care,
- effective use of public funding, with attention to quality and cost-effectiveness,
- guaranteeing the capability of PLHIV organizations to conduct effective public campaigns focused on securing sustainability of public funding of HIV programs, in particular, ARV treatment availability.
